The Culture Directorate is responsible for developing, reviewing and coordinating the implementation of Malta’s national cultural policy.
The Directorate promotes research and educational initiatives that strengthen public awareness of, and participation in, cultural life. It works towards achieving cultural justice for present and future generations, while preserving, promoting and expanding knowledge of Malta’s intangible cultural heritage.
Through meaningful national and international collaborations, the Directorate seeks to enhance the visibility, appreciation and enrichment of Maltese culture beyond our shores.
